| Streetwise is the award winning interactive safety education centre, located in Bournemouth, whose aim is to raise awareness of everyday safety in an indoor life-size village - in the home, the town, the countryside and even on the beach! All the scenarios have been constructed to last - as in real life and using real materials. A Safety Tour lasts approximately two hours and involves visiting all eleven scenarios. Visitors learn the skills to help them identify potential everyday dangers, learn how to minimise the risks involved - and what action to take if things go wrong: all in a safe controlled environment. Groups from schools, brownies and cubs pack are welcome, but many children bring their friends, mum and dad or their grandparents along for a Family Safety Tour! This is ideally suited to families with 5 - 12 year olds and means that safety messages are learnt together and can be reinforced in their daily lives.
